Window Film & Tint / Corpus Christi, TX
Film chosen by its numbers, fitted in a closed bay.
Automotive window film fitted in an enclosed bay, one car at a time. Film is plotter-cut to the vehicle pattern so no blade goes near your glass, and the VLT we fit is written on the invoice.

Inside the shop
A two-bay shop off Ayers. One car on the glass at a time, and the bay door stays shut while film is going on, because dust under film cannot be fixed afterwards.
Method
-
Choose by the numbers
Samples go on your own glass next to each other with the VLT, TSER and IR rejection for each, so you are buying heat rejection and not a shade of grey.
-
Cut the pattern
Plotted from the vehicle pattern on the bench. Nothing is trimmed on the car, so the glass, the seals and the defroster grid are never cut against.
-
Shrink and fit
Rear glass is heat-shrunk on the outside first, then set from inside in one piece. Door panels come off where the film has to tuck under the belt seal.
-
Cure
Windows stay up three to five days while the mounting solution dries. Haze and small water pockets in that window are normal and we tell you when they should be gone.
Schedule of work

Ceramic film
70% VLT · 35% VLT · 20% VLT · 5% limoMulti-layer ceramic, no metal in the stack, so tags, keyless entry and GPS are unaffected. Picked on TSER and infrared rejection rather than how dark it looks.
-
Carbon film
Colour stable · Non-metal · Privacy shadesA colour-stable carbon line for cars that live under a carport. It will not turn purple like old dyed film, and it costs less than ceramic.
-
Windshield film
Full windshield · AS-1 strip · IR rejectionClear ceramic across the whole windshield at 70–80% VLT, or a visor strip cut to the AS-1 line if you want the glare gone and nothing else.
-
Removal and re-tint
Bubbled film · Purple film · Glue removalOld film steamed off, adhesive cleaned, defroster lines left intact, then refitted. Rear glass is the slow part and we price it as its own job.
-
Fleet and flat glass
Vans · Box trucks · StorefrontVans, box trucks and storefront glass for privacy and heat load, scheduled around when the vehicles are off the road.
Questions
How dark can I legally go in Texas?
Front side windows have to let at least 25% of the light through, and the windshield is limited to a strip down to the AS-1 line. Behind the driver on an SUV or truck you can go as dark as you want. We fit the fronts legal and note the VLT on the invoice.
Is ceramic worth the difference over carbon?
If the car parks outside in this heat, yes — ceramic rejects far more infrared at the same visible darkness, so the cabin cools quicker. If it lives under cover and you mainly want privacy, carbon does the job.
Why is my new tint hazy and bubbled?
That is mounting solution still drying between the film and the glass. In this humidity it clears in three to five days, longer in a cool spell. Leave the windows up until it does.
Can you film over factory privacy glass?
Yes, and it stacks. Factory privacy glass is tinted in the pane, so 20% film over it reads much darker than 20%. We hold the sample against your own rear glass first so you can see the combination.
